My name is Erik Gustafson. I am married. I have two awesome daughters. I also have two cats and one small fluff dog that is more of a stuffed animal. In addition to writing, I also like to paint. I was in the Air Force for 20 years and lived all over the world in places like Iceland, Germany and Saudi Arabia.
Since 2008, I have been settled down in Iowa with my family. I currently orchestrate hourly supported community living and respite services at a statewide non-profit. Among the great things I get to do include: cultivating supervisors, developing direct care workers, developing trainings on building healthy relationships through postive behavior supports, and helping people with intectual disabilties and brain injuries lead more independent lives / reach their full potential.
I also am an adjunct professor teaching human services and psychology courses.
My two favorite movies are The Descent and Amadeus. Dr. Strange comes in third. I was a huge Star Wars fan most my life too!
Favorite quote is by Maya Angelou “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
I have had short stories published in many anthologies and other places including: The Horror Zine, Horrified Press, Sirens Call Publications, Pleasant Storm Entertainment, Crypto and Co., Alliterate Ink Publishing, and the Coffin Hop 2013 Death By Drive-In Anthology.
